A/c Problem

I have an s13 with an sr20det, i have a problem with the a/c. As i can remember it use to be the same problem as when i had the ka24de.The Problem is, When i start the car i have to have the a/c switch on, before i start the car. If i don't do that i will have to move the switch off and on until i hear the a/c engage. Now when the car is running with the a/c on(blowing cold air everything fine), the a/c turns off after about a couple of minutes (10-15 min.)and than i have to turn off the car while rolling and turn the car back on (while having the a/c switch on) and the a/c will start working again. than it'll turn off again after minutes...and again we go...Thanks for your opinions on my a/c problems.I went to the forum that nicoclub has about the a/c. Its a good forum, and i tried cooling the condensor but still the same problem. help please its hot here in south texas!!!!
