OK, i know this has been asked before, but i cant seem to find any good answer and i've been searching for a few weeks. Where is a good location to run the power wire through the firewall. I'm most likely going to be running a 2 gauge wire. Where have other people ran theirs? and if possible please show pics.

If you have a CVT transmission Nissan has pre punched a hole in the insulation where the clutch would be mounted. Remove that little piece of insulation and you can drill through the firewall. Be careful when drilling (always), the wiring harness is not far away on the other side of the firewall.

I just drilled thru the rubber boot where the steering column goes thru the fire wall. Are you using stock radio or aftermarket radio? If you are using stock radio, how did you connect your remote wire?

I'm using my stock Bose system. I just added a 10" sub to supplement the lack luster 6X9 so called Bose subs, the amp is a Kenwood kac8104d which has speaker level inputs that will sense when the radio is turned on eliminating the need for the remote wire. If I needed to use the remote wire I would tap off the bose amp in the trunk. This is from the maintenance and repair manual

How to test AMP ON SIGNAL CIRCUIT

When the audio system is turned on, a voltage signal is supplied from the AV control unit to the BOSE speakeramp. When this signal is received, the BOSE speaker amp. will turn on.

1.CHECK AMP ON SIGNAL (BOSE SPEAKER AMP)1. Turn audio system ON.2. Check voltage between BOSE speaker amp. harness connectorB121 terminal 60 and ground. (thats what you should use)
