yeah i know, you should have seen the rest of the car when i bought it- gtr emblem on the trunk, carbon fiber 'look' tape over the taillights, fast and furious style wing-was all gone within the hour. but what do you expect, i bought it from some redneck in eastern kentucky. thanks bruno240

I would just get a new one from the junkyard man, its not hard to switch them, and yours is seriously nasty.

I also vote for outright replacement.

Can you use the digital climate control piece, or is that just for us S14s? It's a cool piece of gear.

what the hell was that guy even trying to do? why would you paint over the buttons like that? I would feel scared as hell driving a car I knew was maintained by someone that amazingly stupid.

don't 4get to check out the classifieds section; mebbe a local Niconaut can help u out.

PS: the 1st useless button w/ the nissan logo; can u check if u can drill out a hole & add a toggle switch on it? would doing that interfere w/ the rest of the ac control unit? i'm kinda lazy to pull my working console apart to find out. thanx

cant you use a mild paint remover, but that may damage the actual plastic and paint too. just grab another one.

its piece of cake, just pull the center console panel. it snaps out. take screws outta shifter leather to remove it completely.

then take 2 screws on ac panel and it comes out. with wires on the back of course.

i was directing it to "imstuped" since he'll have to junk that control unit anyways... just a lookC... then I can go forward w/ a project that's in the backburner since the birth of my 2 bundles of joy

it runs really well acually, l lucked out and he didnt do any work on the engine plus it wasnt expensive which was good since im still in high school. so would a 1995 or up climate panel work? my friend has a junked 95 240 and he was willing to give it to me for cheap.

<shrugs> since it's easy to remove, let us know for future reference...

a real friend would give it to u for free or @ least for $2.40 (j/k) loan him a videogame or something in exchange...

lemme know about that 1st button when u get the chance. thanx
