A/C not working

It's starting to get warm, and my A/C doesn't work. The light on the ac button doesn't light up, I don't hear the compressor cycle on, and the revs don't increase (which it did when the A/C worked). Any suggestions before I tear the whole thing apart (or have someone else do it)? Thanks.

mine does the same now. someone said the pressure of the freon is low and it causes the compressor not to come on. So im thinking of checking and adding some more freon if neccesary to cure the problem.
