my car(s13) only overheats on warm-hot days when i have the a/c on. in the mornings and at night it doesn't overheat the slightest bit with or without a/c. if its overheating and i get on an open highway where i can move at good speed it cools off right away. this leads me to believe that the electric fan i installed doesn't work to well. there are no leaks. iv'e already checked and there's motion in the radi. is my theory correct? i'm definately getting dual fans, aluminum radi and that panel that goes over the top to direct flow thru better. but first i'm going to get washers to see if lifting the back of the hood a little bit will reduce the heat. what do yall think?

well , whenever you run the ac the car heats up more and here is less power, since the ac is belt driven. that means more strain on the engine, therefore more heat ...

Is your a/c fan working. Coolant level fine. Thermostat working properly. Flushed the coolant lately. Also in 89 some 240 had brass core radiators. The brass tends to start melting together. I have had this happen on a friends car and one of mine a while back.

a/c fan is working, coolant level is fine. new stock radiator. a lot of people out here in miami run no thermostat since it never gets cold enough to "warm up" the car. could this fix my problem?
