A/C issue

Has anyone else had this issue. With the A/C already switched on at the time the truck is started the blower starts to blow and with in a few seconds the lights on the A/C controls go off and the blower stops. Then with out touching the controls the lights return along with the blower and yes blows cold air . Should I be looking for a problem. I'm in Texas no fun with no A/C ,it's working just don't want it to stop. :wtf2:

Found this... not sure if the symptoms are exactly the same, but it sounds pretty close.

If you find that your fan resistor is bad, I would be sure your cabin air filter isn't clogged - creating a low airflow condition.

Maybe the connector leading to the pressure switch went bad.
