Well I was driving back from the beach with my daughter this weekend and went to turn on the a/c and out comes hot air. So I stopped off and bought some recharger and crossed my fingers but no luck. Still hot air. The compressor is spinning and fuse is good. Could this be the relay? If not has the compressor just gone bad and how do I start eliminating things to pinpoint the problem so I can fix it.

<p>It works now... I guess it just needed time to recharge but I thought it was suppose to start working as you put it in. Although I'm still having issues when the ac is off. The engine sputters when I'm stopped and I have to put it in neutral to keep from stalling. I have a modified air filter on and I have already reset the setting by disconnecting the battery for a few mins and reconnecting. Nothing changed. It's hot here in FL but sometimes I like to drive with the windows down and feel the cool breeze after it rains or on the highway.

Any ideas anyone?

once an aftermarket air filter is intalled (and im assuming some type of cone filter and not just a drop in K&N) its possible that if not cleaned properly the MAF could be damaged or may just need a cleaning...hit up a local junkyard first...theres lotsa hiden treasures there...
