A/C - Heater blower fan only works on High/4

Title says it all... is there a relay or a fuse I should be looking for, or is it the switch?

For a '95 240SX-SE

you HVAC resistor is broken, it limits the amount of electricity going to the blower from speeds 1 to 3, 4 is direct current, you gotta get a new one, im not sure if its where my old sentra's was that went out on me and it was located underneath the glovebox.

yeah the resistor is under the glove box near the blower motor

I have the same problem. Where can a replacement HVAC resistor be found?

I had to change mine last year...I bought it at Nissan. I can't tell you how much but I dont remember it being too expensive.. I think it was like 40$cad or something..

lol i have the same exact problem 95 nissan 240sx, only number 4 works!! it gets way too cold!! i think im gonna order the resistor this week.

Yup, that's where it is AND seems to be the problem. I'm getting power TO it (so that rules out the switch), but that's where it all ends (except for Hi/4).

Was thinking about the junkyard for this, but if many others have this problem, I guess it's best to buy new...

Oh wow. I was gonna buckle down and buy a whole new A/C / Heater control unit cause i thought it was the switch itself. You guys saved me alot of cash!

I got a 95 240sx too.... Wonder if this is a common problem with them?

The one off my sentra looked like this, not sure on what a 240's looks like Not even sure why I still have this when my sentra was totalled over a year ago

Looks the same (about the size or a credit card) and will have a 4-wire harness; 3 thin gauge (speeds 1,2,3?) and 1 heavier gauge (speed 4).

It's located between the blower motor and firewall...just follow the 4-wire harness that's tied into the 2-wire harness that goes into the blower motor. All wires are Blue w/ a colored stripe (heavier gauge wire might not have a stripe???) Comes down w/ two Phillips screws.

This has to be a very common problem! Mine's been busted for a while now too!.. nissan should have had a recall on this!

Funny mine works fine except on 4 the it just turns off, and also my light on the a/c button doesnt come on ?

my blower doesnt even work at all after my sr20det swap.. do u guys think its this resistor?
