Hello everyone,

I got my CA w/o the A/C system...it was removed by the previous owner due to its breakdown...now I'm looking into the DCC installation and wondering if I need the A/C for it....hm...actually I do want the A/C back, hence it'll be a daily driver.

I know for sure that I have all underdash parts (removed them in october myself), but I haven't got any engine bay parts.

Anyone can tell me what do I need to have the A/C back?

btw, I've seen some custom A/C's for kitcars, will those do the job?

Any help & suggestions appreciated

Basically, you need the compressor, mounting bracket, condenser, and all the lines.

Does it get hot enough in the 'ol USSR to really require air conditioning? I live in Alabama and daily drive a black/black s13 with no AC. I mean, I suffer, but its not that unbearable.

I have 80% of the a/c system i can sell but if you are in fact in the USSR the shipping would be outrageous

Yeah, Ive got all the under hood stuff but shipping it to you would be outrageous, like Ca said. I'll bet it would be cheaper for you to send it than me though.

Best bet might be to check the SXOC classifieds.

r34 gtr, yeah, it gets up to 104 F during the summer sometimes

as far as my research has gone, the 240sx ka24de condensor & liquid tank will bolt-on fine...what I'm worried about is the compressor, as the KA won't mount up to the CA body... and the lines - do I have to get specifically CA lines or can I just go with some custom ones?

I guess I can find some of the parts locally or in Russia

Ca_Silvia, thanks for the offer, but I agree - the shipping expenses will be outrageous...

i would say use a Pulsar CA assembly since it bolts up in the same location...but...i dont know if the pulleys would line up...i mean, we know that the waterpump doesnt line up with the rwd CA's right? so that throws a kink in my thought that the AC condensor/bracket would...

DALAZ_68, most likely you're right...the p/n for the compressor shows that it's an original ca18det 200sx part of a euro sunny (200sx/stanza?) with some strange cd17 engine (diesel?)

the p/n's are:

9261045F08, 9260066C03, 9261045F07, 9261045F08

I understand that the compressor issue can be solved easily with just obtaining a used compressor somewhere, but I really don't want any used parts

yes, it's LHD...I think I'll need to find some used a/c lines from a ca18det - that'll be easier, right?
