At first, sometimes when I start my 2006 M35, the fan wouldn't come on, but the compressor would kick on...Then if I turned the car off and back on, it might come on. Sometimes I would have to turn it off and on multiple times. I know it's not the compressor cause when I turn my air on, I can hear the compressor kicking on. Then, if I didn't cut it off and just start driving, within like 15-20 mins of driving, the fan motor would all of a sudden just start working. Now, the fan motor just doesn't come on at all, regardless of how many times I turn it off and back on. I already tried changing out the fuses with no success.....Plus, if I'm driving and have the A/C on but have the option of fresh air on, the air that is coming thru the vents is cooled or heated, depending on what temperature I have it set on....any clues on what's the problem instead of me having to pay a grip at the dealership?

Thanks

ECM controls cooling fan speed corresponding to vehicle speed, engine coolant temperature, air conditioner
ON signal, refrigerant pressure, target A/C evaporator temperature and A/C evaporator temperature.
Cooling fan control signal is sent to IPDM E/R from ECM by CAN communication line. Then, IPDM E/R sends
ON/OFF pulse duty signal to cooling fan control module. Corresponding to this ON/OFF pulse duty signal,
cooling fan control module gives cooling fan motor operating voltage to cooling fan motors. Cooling fan speed
is controlled by duty cycle of cooling fan motor operating voltage sent from cooling fan control module.

From the repair manual, not sure if this helps you....

I seem to be having the same issue with my 2007 M35x. All the controls are working fine. The fan display shows its on, but the blower wont kick on for 10 or 15 mins. Sucks when the window is fogged or frost on the window. When I drive for awhile the blower will kick on and operate as normal. It seems to be only when I first start the car after it has sat for awhile (like over night). Anyone experience this issue and get it fixed?

Here is your fix. I had the same problem last year and was just thinking yesterday how many other people have it too. Low and bold hold just got a email today from a member.

If that sounds like your problem, get part #25230-79942 (dont worry about the vehicle description) and you can sleep good tonight your problem is solved...if you can tell me how to attach a photo I will send you a couple or just send me your email address.[/img]
