A/C doesnt switch vent settings!

So my a/c doesnt switch vent settings and i wanted to see if anyone has any experience with something like this. does anyone know how to troubleshoot this?

For me the air comes out the defrost for a while like 15+ mins till the car is good and warm. Cool/ AC comes out as needed.
