I had just bought my Versa like a week before when this problem popped up.

I started my car up and was driving to work that morning. I had the defroster on and the windshield finally cleared up. I tried to move the direction of the air to the floorboard and the control wouldn't move. I tried a little harder to get it to move and I heard a pop from behind the dash. The direction control moved, but it wouldn't go back to the windshield....

I took it back to the dealership and they examined the car. Told me I needed an appointment because they had to take the dash apart to examine the problem. So next day, I'm back for my appointment. It takes them roughly a half hour to untangle the cable that controls the direction thingy.... So I start driving home and I notice that the center vents aren't working properly. Side vents are fine, center vents are without air flow. So I immediately turn around and take it back to the dealership. It takes them another 20 minutes to examine it. They come back and tell me that the control head and the blower assembly needs to be replaced. They have it on order and it should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. (That day was a Thursday.)

Well, that was 4 weeks ago.... I've talked to the Parts department and they said that there is a "quality hold" issue on the blower assembly. Has been for the last 3 weeks. I'm really getting irritated about the delay. Any advice out there?

EDIT: The car is a brand new 2011, with 8 miles on it when I bought it. I hope this won't be the start of a trend.... :chuckle:
