Despite all the classic problems:radio, sunroof, windows, door leather, etc etc. the car has been a pretty good one. After buying, i expected that the winter driving would be slightly better, but oh well it prompted me to buy yet another vehicle.

A couple of questions that i am hoping that someone could help me with:

On occasion the doors just suddenly lock. The car might not do it for a month or so then start locking themselves suddenly. Sometimes it is while the car is running, parked, driven, or even while the car is shut off and in the driveway. I learned real quick to never, ever leave the keys in the car. Is this normal? Is there something that i can do? Can I shut this "feature" off?

Second, the alternator belt started squeeling off and on. I eventually replaced the shredded belt which took quite a while. Everything seems to be fine engine wise and everything checked out. It is still squeeling and i am wondering if it might be the clutch fan......any ideas?

When should the timing belt be replaced......it has 115K on it?

The A/C condensor runs continuosly while the climate control is on, no matter what temperature/setting it is set on and no matter what the weather is like outside......

Thanks for listening..............

Welcome to NICO!!

For the doors you probably need a door lock actuator. They are known to go with age.

Timing belt change is due at I believe 60000 miles, If you haven't got it change or don't know if its been changed your driving on luck. You don't want the timing belt to break, otherwise due to the interference design your looking at a full engine replacement.
