Been thinking about installing an A/C Condensor pusher fan for summer time. Plan would be to install it and powered by an internal switch in the cab.

Driving in 115 here in the summer aint bad while cruising down the street, but you can defintely feel the difference while waiting for a red light. Having the switch in the cab would allow me to turn it on while waiting, and off when taking off. Additionally my job requires me to drive, and while at job sites, I sometimes have to wait in the truck.

Anyone do this mod, or recommend what size fan? I was thinking slim fit 9-10" fan. I've already got a 6-fuse block in the bay, would just tap into that for power.

I would run the fan off of a separate relay thus keeping the draw on the fuse box rather low. Otherwise you have the right idea on this project.

Wasn't to clear on that. I have a separate 6 bay fuse block located next to the washer fluid container. This fuse block is fed straight from the battery. It's what powers my HID headlights.

Currently looking for some low-profile pusher fan. Gotta hurry as it's gonna be 97 Thursday!

I have a pretty flat fan from off the front of a late model junkyard geo metro that I'm using as a radiator fan that's been my radiator fan for the last year plus. Not sure of the clearances you need cause my truck doesn't have A/C, but it's pretty damn thin and around 12" in diameter. Contrary to it's smaller than stock size, kept my engine nice and cool in 100+ weather last summer, so it should be good enough for auxiliary systems if it fits.

tip: take pictures of junkyard parts and their associated vehicles so you can remember what you got them out of a year later
