quick question, will a compressor from a 1994 q45 fit a 1992 q45, the reason i ask this is because i got one from the local pick and pull and they are identical except for the fact the hi and lo are switch, i tried for hours to get them on but couldnt, is it possible or should i go back and get the other one, also there are not that many q45s there, what other cars share the same ac compressor?

It will mount but the pulley is larger on the 94" so you will need a 94' belt. I have two 90-93 compressors for sale in infiniti parts forum if you end up needy.

I stubbornly put a '94 A/C compressor on my '91 Q right before it died. The pulley is bigger on the '94 as mentioned, however, the lines are also reversed where they mount to the compressor. I had to cut one of the aluminum lines and have it tig welded to fit. It probably wasn't worth doing in the end. I suggest just getting a '90-93 compressor.

Also the '92 uses R-12, and the '94 uses R134a... probably why the factory made them hard to interchange.
