Hey everyone!

I have been a lurker for a long time...thanks for all of the great content on this site :)
I have a 2011 Rogue and the a/c decided to stop working about a month ago. I didn't have the knowledge/tools to diagnose the a/c system and decided that taking it to the dealer was the right choice.

$250 later, the dealer told me that the clutch had stopped working and shorted the integrated A/C relay in the IPDM. They quoted $1,900 to fix it (full compressor replacement + IPDM replacement). I decided to hold off on the repair.

I ended up acquiring a new OEM compressor for about half price on eBay and bought a new IPDM board online. I am going to have the compressor install done by a reputable local shop.

Since the IPDM install is dead simple, I wanted to do it myself before getting the compressor replaced. Before opening/installing the part, I decided to check the voltage on the compressor harness to make sure the Nissan dealer was right in their assessment...I didn't expect any surprises here. Wrong! With the a/c switch off, 0 volts on the line. With the a/c on, 14 volts to the harness.

My question for everyone: could there still be a problem with the IPDM board if I am receiving voltage when the switch is activated?

Thanks!
Dan
