A/C comp. doesnt turn on HELP

ok i just installed a/c in my car. i have a 91 coupe with sr. but my a/c compressor doesnt turn on. how much lbs. of refrig. does this system take? i have about 1.5lbs now is that to much? my light on the a/c button turns on and if i hot wiremy compressor my a/c gets cold. so why doesnt my a/c compressor turn on? i have power to the relays and fuses. i also have a chiped ecu. will that effect my a/c?

thanks man..seem like i gotta splice a couple wires on the f3 connector..well see if that works..

No prob, let me know if it works. I'm looking to do the same thing but haven't gotten around to it. Also, are you using a SR or KA compressor?

ok im lost now...do s13s have that f3 connector?? im using a ka comp. with sr a/c brakect.
