I have a 2009 M35 whose A/C stopped working after rapid acceleration. I can see that the A/C Compressor clutch is not engaging, so have checked the fuses, they all look fine.
I have tried to see if the car could tell me the issue but the self diagnostics doesn't seem to work. From what the manual says, you start the car or turn it on, and within 10 seconds press and hold the a/c off button. I have tried this several ways with no success. I have also tried the a/c memory test, were you set the a/c at 90 turn off turn car off start car and turn a/c on and it remembers 90 ( I guess that tells you if it's a memory chip issue). Am I missing something here?
I would bypass the clutch relay if I was absolutely sure which one it was? Any advice would be very appreciated, just don't want to go get ripped of at the dealer.
I would add I live in Florida and it's hot, but would not get much sympathy from most of the country which is also melting.
Thanks
Bill
