The clutch on my compressor is bad and needs to be replaced. Does any body have a DIY on this procedure? Do I need special tools for this or should I just take it to an a/c shop? Or should I just by another compressor and just refill the freeon? Thanks.

You should just buy another compressor.

And FYI....unless you have the proper certifications you will have a VERY hard time acquiring the un-onbtainium (freon or R12 if you will) so you will need an R-134a retrofit kit. They are pretty inexpensive.
