Hi Guys,
bought my pathfinder in April 2009 - by far this is th emost informative site/forum i have found concerning customization or modding of our pathfinders/qx4.
Ok my question is - what kind of or what bulbs do the buttons use on the A/C console. My pahthfinder doesnt have the auto climate control just the good old 3 knobs and and two buttons for the Recirculation and Compressor button.
Before i take off the panels for it and watnot i wud prefer to have the bulbs i need so i can just swap them out and put in the new ones.
The bulbs that are not lit for me are the 2 buttons for recirculation and Compressor along with the rear defrost. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to NICO!
Unfortunately I don't think any NICO members have replaced the lamps in the A/C and recirculate buttons on the manual HVAC control unit. I do know that the lamps which illuminate the three dials are #74 (there are two bulbs). I doubt it's the same bulbs since the two buttons are much smaller; Nissan may even have used LED's to illuminate the buttons, I'm not sure. If you do disassemble the buttons, please let us know which type of lamps they require.
As far as the rear defrost button (the one below the hazard button), that uses an extremely small bulb which I'm not sure you can buy in stores. I think there may be a post somewhere on NICO on how to purchase the replacement bulb. I replaced the incandescent bulb in my rear defroster button with an LED for better/longer bulb life. There is also a post on NICO with some pictures of how to take the switch apart to replace the bulb.

Alrighty - i'll probably tackle it this weekend and see how it goes - was gonna do the fog light mod when i came home earlier today but got lazy - lol probably do that for the weekend as well.
