Well guys, its been awhile since I posted here. Mostly been reading the different posts and doing tonnes (and I mean tonnes) of searches on different aspects of my car (81 pignose coupe, hell yeah!) esp concerning my engine burning oil. Havent done much to the car as I dont have a lot of expendable cash at the moment, but I have managed to gut the stock stereo and speakers and put in a whole new system. I'll post pics later when I have some free time at work.I do have a question (and I know/think it was covered at one point but I can't seem to find the right combination of key words to bring it up again). My climate control system is malfunctioning. In either the heating mode or the A/C mode, it doesnt blow air at setting 1, 2 or 3, but as soon as I turn it to 4...full on blowing. I've had the car for about 3 months now and it was working properly when I got it, then I left on Vacation for two weeks and came back and it wasnt working. I've checked fuses and cables. Everything seems to be fine. What stumps me is that power is going to the blower, but it will only work on the highest setting.

Any ideas? I'm hoping to maybe tackle it this weekend if its a simple enough fix.

I've also posted this exact thread in the regular 240sx forum.

(ps...go ahead and me for not doing a proper search....just be kind )

It's your blower motor resistor. It's located on the blower motor which is behind your glove box. Just take the two screws out, unplug the harness, slide it out and replace with another one.
