I recently discoverd that during this past winter storage, my '05 350Z has been invaded my mice inside my dashboard. When I turn on the AC, the fan motor makes a funny noise and when I put it on high, you can hear the debris inside the dashboard flying around. Is there an easy way to gain access to this area to clead it out etc or must I go to Nissan??

Thanks for your input.

you could try shoving a vacuum hose down inside one of the vents then kick the a/c on high and turn the vacuum cleaner on..... other then that, you'll have to take apart the dash (PITA).....

Doesnt sound like fun. I'd sign up for the forum at http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Service:Index and download the factory service manual for the removal instructions. Good luck.

u could get an access to your BLOWER MOTOR by first opening your ENGINE HOOD and open up your BATTERY BOX.

Then next as you would with your battery change u have to remove top outer layer of plastic cover that holds the battery plastic cap. then also remove the left half of the PLASTIC cover that covers the very bottom of the WINDSHIELD than you'lll see a WHITE PLASTIC blower motor below that windshild cover.

here go look at this instruction. it has pictures.

and if u look at picture 9 in that website u'll see a oblique hole right below the windshield and inside that hole u'll see a blower motor...

Not sure what this last post is referring to, but the blower motor access is under the passenger side dash - just three little screws drop the blower motor in about 30 seconds.

I had the same problem with a mouse making a nest in my a/c blower fan cage while the car was not driven for 3 or 4 weeks. It started out with a noisy fan and diminished air flow until the blower finally quit. When I finally removed the 3 screws and dropped the blower to see what was going on, I found the fan cage entirely full of a wool or cotton material, probably from the stuffed chair storaged in the garage.
