oil injector came on Monday and i finished up. put in 3.2 oz of PAG46.

thanks to DAEDALUS for the loan on the O-rings and Wes for the used condensor.

dial thermometer got down to 4°C this afternoon [39F]. seems like the evap might be icing though?? at least it seems to have a bit of a delayed drip on shutdown. put in 680g [really i'm thinking 670ish due to line residual] R-134a. i know spec is 800g +/- 25, but the vent temp seems to indicate better than spec performance.

Refrigerant is a double edged sword when there is just a little less than specified for the system design.

It will indeed be "cooler" to the point of freezing the coils when the air flow humidity is just right, but it will ultimately carry away more heat in a stress condition like when a high volume of the air is hot and dry if the system is charged to specified design.

The refrigerant is the thermal transfer medium.

Glad it worked for you!!

I also think my AC is icing a little.. unless its really hot, after a while the airflow starts to really diminish, but if i put it on econ for like 5 mins, it goes back to cold....
