Hi I'm new here and it's my first post. I tried looking for people with my car using it as a track day car.
I've had my coupe since 2011. It's a 2012 2.5 6 speed manual.
All stock and I don't use it anymore it's been sitting there for a year not touched. I'm looking for a nice track day car and I was wondering if anyone here track his and what you have on the car.

If you don't care about anything other than beating PR's, it will do fine. Pads are fairly cheap, and tires are up to you. The coupe doesn't handle like a sports car, and the 2.5 doesn't have the power unless you are running in classes with similarly powered cars. Also, an intake/exhaust/tune would help you out.

My 2 cents, I wouldn't track it.
The 2.5 ins't anything to shake a stick at and the biggest issue I see is the car being FWD. The 2.5 was designed for fuel economy not racing. Not saying it can't be tracked, just don't think its worth it. All the suspension upgrades that are needed, wheels and tires, some performance goodies ... Personally don't see it worth it.

My above statement agrees with you, but you worded it a little differently. If it's just sitting, sell it off and put that money into a savings fund or into your current DD.
