A/C and Mech fan ?'s (not the stupid, played out ones)

I am almost done putting my project back together. 93 coupe, DOHC. There is no AC in the car, as it came without the compressor and I just pulled all the lines. Should I just rewire the AC fan to a switch, since it won't be operated by the AC anymore? Or should I just pull it off altogether? Also, I don't have the shroud for the clutch fan, can I just put it on anyways? My local yard only has a SOHC and I read on here that they aren't interchangeable. I'm planning on doing a swap with Altima fans in the near future, I just want to get the car running (safely) for a few hundred miles.

are you gonna use the ac fan? if not well.... take it out.I got my car without a fan shroud and its ok. I'm in stop and go trafic and no over heaten' issue, not that the stock gauge is acurate anyway.
