My a/c in the 90 240 is soooo out. How much am I looking to recharge/refill it? I have a guy that can get me the old stuff, but he screwed up my dads truck's compressor and I don't want him doing mine, I'd rather do it myself, besides NO ONE touches that thing besides me and a VERY select few. Second issue. I was running at WOT yesterday when I missed a shift and overreved by....well....quite a bit. It was a little burried in the red line. The car COMPLETELY stopped working. Best example I can say is like in that 2fast2furious movie (i'd hate to compare ANYTHING from that movie to my car) when the police shoot the power sucking probes at the car. I had no push avaible on the gas pedal and none on the brake. The clutch would move, but the shifter wouldn't. I had to gradually e brake and non power steer my *** to a side street. It started back up, but I was wondering what the hell happened? Is this a Nissan failsafe to keep the motor from overreving?

The 89-90 240sx has rev limiters in 4th and 5th gear as well as a top speed limiter at 115 mph. You can research on here how to get around those, but I have found that an automatic ecu works best. Good luck on the A/C, try Wal-mart for a A/C retrofit to R134A Kit. Its fairly simple as long as everything else is ok.
