Only the old guys on this forum will remember when this gem popped up on ebay a few times about 4 years ago!!!

I was digging through some old backup folders I had from about 5 hard drive formats ago, thought id share this for some classic Q nostalgia.

There's one in my town, not sure if it is this same one. Anyone that I know that sees it takes a pic and comes up to my work to show me. I think it looks ok for what it is. Would I drive it? No.

Who knows why someone would do this-but we HAVE to appreciate the ingenuity and quality. That car is in better shape than most!! (though its four years older now).

It's actually pretty nicely proportioned. I like it for it's oddness, and I'd rock it (though, like Wes, I'd definitely have to have a normal Q, too).

Looking at the top of what is apparently now the tailgate, I'm thinking it would probably benefit aerodynamically from a Touring spoiler.

If I was going to all that trouble, I'd at least want a cargo bed that wasn't 40 percent occupied by the fuel tank...

If I had a spare Q laying around as well as the tools and knowledge to do it, it would be a fun alternative to a small pickup.

Someone did this to a BMW E34 recently. Terry (ceniak on this forum) showed me a link. Cant find it, but the work was pretty clean.

I imagine bed-cars like this are pretty popular in Australia and Asia.

wow.

I love it. I could haul all my vintage audio purchases in that thang! Sheeeeet, wonder if it can hold 600 pounds of Bozak Concert Grands. I've rented the dreaded white van so many times I've lost the count. Just need a spare garage.

I'd pay 1500 for one! 15 audio purchases and it earns its keep!
