Is there any differences from a 99 pathfinder to a 01 pathfinder? (engine, electrics, etc etc?

Same basic body, but the '01 has the 3.5 liter twin-cam while the '99 has SOCH 3.3 L.

The 1999.5 model year had a "facelift" - many interior and a few exterior features were changed. You can't use a tailgate from a pre-facelift R50 on your 2001, for example. See this Wikipedia section for some details.

o i found one for sale and was just going to buy it and strip mine and junk the rest, but since i cant use the motor i dont see the use in it, i might just be parting out and selling my pathfinder, my mother switch insurance and raised out coverage so i paying bank for my old slow a** subaru, i more than likely wont be able to afford the insurance on the pathfinder sadly, so i guess its jus a decision at this point, and i think this one has a "facelift" it looks just like mine as far as i can tell except color

The Pathfinder you are looking at could be a 1999.5 in which it would look identical to your current Pathfinder.

If you decide to part out your Pathfinder, I would be interested in some interior parts.

I don't think so. Perhaps the extra, what 50-70HP in the 3.5L "might" have been nice on a very rare occasion for me. Nothing really that I can recall though.

Would I buy another 99.5? Sure would . I'm currently thinking about buying a newer model year, based more on what's available with under 100K mileage. Not powertrain.

I've driven my 3.3L equipped Pathy on 2 very loaded up cross country moves now (Boston to Oregon & back). Did fine. I did install air helper springs for the return trip, but AFAIK all R50 model year stock rear springs are on the softer side.
