99 Sentra Key fob with 99 Maxima?

I misplaced a set of keys that has my original Maxima key fob, and am currently using my spare set. I have a key fob from my old 99 Sentra that looks identical. Has anyone successfully reprogrammed a Sentra key fob to a Maxima? Is there any reason this wouldn't work?
