99 QX4 wiper and tail gate will not open

Hi I have a 99 QX4 and the rear wiper will not work the rear glass actuator will not work and the rear hatch actuator will not work. I went on to alldata and none of the wire colours match up has anyone seen anything loke this?

You need to take the plastic cover off the back gate. Once you have it off you will see the motor and guts of the wiper. The rear window won't open if the wiper isn't at the absolute bottom of its arc. You will see that there is a metal contact that needs to make a connection in order for the release to work. Sounds complicated but once you open it up it's pretty obvious what needs to be done.

Thanks for the info I know the switch that you are talking about it is on the wiper I tryed to push that swith and it still woild not work as well ans the wiper.

If you have someone that can help you, get them to turn on the rear wiper. You stay at the back and if the motor won't move while its on help it turn. Once the contact is in the right spot turn off the wiper.

I did it my self but it took a while to get it right. Good luck

The wiper motors are known for seizing. I think the switch is fine.
