99 Qx4 Spare comes off howw?

I have a flat tire right now, and i have the wheel off ready for the spare to be thrown on. But my spare is so rusted on by the chain holding it under my truck.

How in the hell does it come off, theres rust everywhere and i cant even begin to know how to do this. please help.

did you already lower the chain? use the long 3ft jack handle and insert it into the hole just above the back bumper (covered by the lower lip of the tailgate). use your lug wrench to loosen/lower the chain that holds the tire up. voila!

yup. the tools alex mentioned are under the rear seat.

lets see how easy you find getting the chain off the tire to be. I didnt even have to think twice about how to do it, while i have some ridiculous friends who swore it was physically impossible to fit the chain piece through the hole in the rim. They were ready to cut the chain with a bolt cutter. needless to say, they are not very good at "logic"

Its a good idea to oil that chain from time to time.
