99 QX4 Fuel System Cleaning

Hey folks. Glad to join the forum.I have a QX4 1999 and got an oil change today and asked the local mechanic about the fuel system cleaning service. He stated that he could not perform this on a Nissan or Infiniti product as they had fried a few throttle body's and engines. He said the chemicals are to strong for the sensitive system and damages some kind of sensor. Anyways, just wanted to know if you folks have heard of such and if this is true what can I use to do this or what does Nissan and Infiniti dealers use to clean the fuel system. I want to clean-up real good as I just bought this and it burns a little gas. I think it had been sitting for a while. Thanks,

I had a shop do an induction flush on my 99Q a few years ago. So far so good. I had not heard about the problem you mentioned.
