Car: 99 Quest

Post

Hello all,

I just took ownership of a relatively mint 99 quest. The car is very clean as it lived inside an actual garage for most of it's life and was literally driven by a little old lady to church on sundays (and every day of the week as well, but still..).

I drove this car for the first time and noticed a "CLAK" every time i hit a serious bump/dip in the road. It doesn't happen often but often enough and it's quite loud. I realized that the side windows on the sliding door behind the driver has a gap large enough to stick a pinky finger inside. That is hitting the frame when the car takes a bump.

I have read that this is a common issue. Has anyone got a good solution to it? I feel like I should add some foam weather stripping or something to keep the window from smashing itself to pieces if I hit a pothole on the freeway or something.

Thanks for any advice all...
