hey guys i tried searching but couldnt find too much info.
For the 99 q45 touring i am looking to replace the front lower ball joints. You guys know of any equivalents? s14? q45 from 2002 on? Don't really wanna buy a whole ctrl arm for 400 bucks plus

thanks.

i got two ball joints on ebay, made in taiwan, took lower control arms to machine shop and paid $50 to have both pressed into lower control arm. total cost for job, $100. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-FRONT-LOWER-B ... h7&vxp=mtr

And those ball joints fit fine? I don't see how the same part could be used on all the generation of Q45s. I'm asking though because I need one as well, tried using z32 ball joint but it didn't work.

UPDATE: I Bought those balljoints for my 98 Q45 and those don't work either. So I'm not sure if someone is fibbing or something but regardless for future reference to someone in that same predicament, THESE BALL JOINTS DO NOT WORK! I REPEAT! DO NOT WASTE THE MONEY, THEY DON'T WORK. Also they ship from china, so now I'll have to test my luck seeing it I can bring these back. *SIGH*

It's been a few years since I did mine, but I think the ones I pressed in were Moog K9818. Haven't had a problem since. There was no way I was going to pay for a whole lower control arm.

UPDATE again, looks like I bought the wrong ball joint from that vendor. I bought Y33 ball joints, which are supposedly different than second Gen Q45 ball joints completely, even though they are both Cima chassis.

You mind finding out what you used? I agree, no way I want to pay 350 for a control arm when I have other stuff to fix.

I Just installed the ones off eBay ($50) on my '97 which pressed in fine. I bought them before finding this thread regarding the Moog k9818.
