Changed rotors and pads thinking I had a warped rotor. Good for awhile then the shimmy came back when I brake, Any ideas what is causing this?

Did you measure hub run out? Bearings and ball joints still tight?

Assume tension rod, steering rack and sway bar llink bushings all new?

How are front struts and bearings? Tire, wheel, rotor and pad data, please. Finally, did you true the rear rotors also and replace with OEM pads? Use high temperature lubrication on the caliper pins? New shim kits?

Yeah if you only replaced the fronts, the rears could also be bad. Or possibly a bad front end part. Tierods...etc

Can you explain how to measure hub run out? I seen this term used before.

Thanks

Tension rods are toast if you didn't replace those. Not a shimy issue but makes the steering much less precise.

It's in the FSM.

The best way is a dial gauge and measure the clean hub face for uniformity as it revoves 360°. The factory specification is a little liberal.

how would you know if the tension rods and tie rods are bad? I put my car on the lift last week and checked my inner and outer tie rods and they seemed fine (although I didn't open up the boot for the inner) My car get's vibration when i hit 55mph and up. Sorry for double posting.
