Anyone know how I can lower the window to reach the window bolts. Widow is fully up and motor is kaput?

I'm looking at the door drawings in your FSM, page BR-12, and the 99Q looks very similar to the G50 (90-96) Q45. With that said you can get to the 2 bolts holding the window in place but just haven't used the right tools yet. I've done it in a salvage yard so you'll be able to get to those 2 pesky bolts in your driveway. IIRC, with the window up I couldn't fit a socket up there but was able to fit my paws in with a 12mm ratcheting wrench and get the bolts out. Another suggestion would be to remove the 4 bolts holding the vertical sliding bar to the door and everything should drop a couple of inches to a wider part of the door.

You're probably already bloodied on your forearms from reaching into the door so it's too late to say wear long sleeves for this job.

Question: Are you sure the motor is kaput? I had this happen to my 97 Q45T on the drivers side with the window down in cold weather, and I thought the motor was shot. It turns out that the window button wasn't actually touching the device that activates the window motor and lowers the window. I had to slowly move the button from side to side, and twist it as I was pushing it down to activate the window motor. Anyways, hope this helps.
