My ex-wife slid off the interstate about 2 years ago. The front passenger side bumper hit a snow bank and partly in the ditch. It tore the bottom corner off that of bumper, put a big hole and some cracks in the windshield washer container.the worst of the damage is that the fram the radiator sits above got bent up and pushed that part of the radiator up about an inch in a half maybe two. So the hood don't look closed it looks like it's piped up from the hood release, but it does latch. That was all the damage done to it. I wanted to grab her and choke her.(jk) kinda haha!!

Anyway everything worked after the wreck even the heat. The insurance decided to not pay for the whole damage cost. (Can't remember exactly why). So we just kept the money we were in a bind with money at the time I was on medical leave from work at the time. I also do all the work on my own cars. I decided since it was still running and I was in the middle of rebuilding my engine. I decided that I would fix it when I could. I never got around to do it money reasons and our divorce put s damper on that. At the end of last winter the heat stopped working, just blows cold air. The radiator started keeling about 3 months before that. Till I fix the frame underneath the radiator I'm not getting a new one, because the hood pushes down on the radiator cap and that's where It leaks from, put a crack under the short spout, I've checked and replaced thermostat, all other hoses been checked no antifreeze in the car.

So can my no heat be because the leaky radiator some days it leaks more than others but the most part it don't lose that much. Only leaks when I shut the car off and the hood stays closed. I pop the hood it still leaks but very slow. I'm sure it leaks somewhat while driving but seem to lose much cause I'd be putting antifreeze in it more often anyone have a idea please let me know thanks

I have checked everything I can think of I have felt the hoses going to heater core

I doubt the radiator leak is the source of your lack of heat. If the coolant is getting hot and flowing through the heater core, then the radiator is making its contribution to producing heat. The AC/heat system in the Y33 has a bunch of small motors that control the various doors within system that route airflow. When you select heat, a door needs to move into the proper position to route airflow over the heater core. If that motor has failed and the door is not in the proper heat position, then you will have no heat. I know all of this because my Y33 has no heat. The AC, however, works great, although the the control knob that allows the the temperature of the AC to be thermostatically constant does not function. So whether I set the dash display to 68 or 80, the AC blows out of the vents at the same temperature.

The Qs have a self-diagnostic system that you can run by manipulating the dash AC/heat controls to put the dash unit into self-diagnostic mode. Once in self-diagnostic mode, the dash display will step through various system tests as you push various buttons. The tests will tell you what is wrong with you AC/heat system. On my car, I know at a minimum that I have two failed motor modules. If I was a more confident mechanic, I would go to a local junkyard and strip out the parts that I needed and fix my heat and temperature control by replacing those motors. However, since I live in Phoenix, I never really need heat. And the lack of AC thermostat capability can be worked around by adjusting the fan speed. So that is what I have been doing. Another problem with these Q AC/heat units is that the dash often has to be removed to access the failed parts. That is beyond my skill set and way to expensive to have any shop perform.

The field service manual on this site has a section labeled HA. That is the section that explains the self-diagnostic mode of the AC/heat system. None of this is likely to be good news in your hope to restore heat, but I think what I am telling is fairly accurate. I am a new Q owner within the past year, so maybe one of the gurus here will jump and correct any errors that I have made in my comments.
