99 Q45 battery drain from dome

My Q (75k miles) has a reported issue in regards to battery drain and the interior lights. When the dome light is switched to the "door" mode, it drains the battery after sitting. This info came from a Nissan shop that could completely diagnose why the battery was dying. Does this make since? What should I do to correct this?

Depends on how old your battery is. Presume it was tested also?

Makes no difference on my 2000.

Good question. I just bought the car. I will have to research the records. Apparently, a Nissan tech told the previous owner that a glitch in the electrical at the dome light is causing the battery drain. I guess I could stop by Sears too to have them test the batter.

Hmmmm.... they could say what's wrong but didn't fix it?

The PO probably couldn't afford the repair.

Does the light come on?

actually the PO were in a remote area - only a nissan dealer to take a crack at it. could not completely diagnose as stated before.

Do the specs of a 93 J30 battery meet the requirements for a 99 Q45? I may swap to see if the batter is the issue.
