:wtf2:

My connector 3-Prong plastic broke and Its become a mess. I was changing the alternator and I don't know the order of the wiring left the right. I believe it has an orangish colored wire/ and darker orange color, and a purple/burgandy? colored wire. 3 wires going into the plastic connector that plugs into the alternator. I need pictures of the alternator possibly with the harness plugged in. or a diagram?

Also, question, I understand that the Nissan Maxima uses the a similar Alternator if not the same? The connectors seem to be identical to the 2 prong alternators on each different car. 98 Nissan Maxima and my 99 Q45. Is it possible to cut back a harness and wire it into my Q45?

I'm a noob and considering the 11 year old car now, the heat and time made the plug brittle for some reason. It cracked and broke with little pressue when removing it from the old alternator and making it not work now with the new one.

ANY HELP would be appreciated. I NEED to drive it. Let me know ASAP!!!

THANKS!!

If it's the same connector you should be able to get it up and running. I looked at the FSM (factory service manual) available at http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/ and the color codes didn't match up with what you described. Infiniti probably sells a subharness for the alternator. Might be worth calling http://www.infinitipartsusa.com on Monday.
