I need help! I was changing the alternator out on my 99 Q45 and the wire harness connector broke!!! it has 3 different colored wires going into that plastic 3 prong. and it was so brittle and just broke. I need help figuring out order of those 3 wires. I don't understand as the alternator has a only 2 Prongs on the alternator side. Anyone have pictures of the CORRECT ORDER or which Wires go to which prong?

Also. I understand that the Nissan Maxima 97-99 Alternator uses the SAME hook up to a similar 2 prong alternator that goes to that car. ANY way I can go cut back the wiring and sauder the wiring together on my Q45 3 prong wires and make a connector that way?

Pictures and Help would be appreciated, thanks!

Due to heat and the fact its an 11 year old car. the Plastic became weak I guess. It was hard to push down and pull out of the old alternator and it cracked then too and when installing and pushing down it cracked to pieces like nothing! Please help ASAP I'm thinking it may be an easy fix?

See Here's the Thing. The Harness is fine. Its the connector to the alternator and the 3 wires coming out of that connector. The plastic connector piece is broken and it's just three wires with female ends. Thought of hooking them up to the alternator but there's only 2 prongs on the alternator. Infinity wants $1200 or so for the WHOLE wiring harness. I just need that part of the harness fixed and trying to see if the connector end from a 98 Maxima would work since they use the same type of connector or just figure a way to hook it back up. This is all that's that's keeping my vehicle from running.

Not sure where you're located, but if you have a pull-a-part style junk yard nearby, it would be worth wandering the yard and looking for the same connector on something. There is a lot of cross-over on connectors on different models within the Nissan line.
