'99 Pathfinder transmission electrical connector removal

So I'm removing the transmission on my '99 Pathfinder. I need to figure out how to remove the electrical connector. It's circular and attaches on the passenger side of the transmission.

Does this simply unplug from the transmission case or should I leave the circular plug alone and disconnect the wire from a plug closer to the engine? I only see the circular plug.
