Just bought a '99 Pathfinder, and i need to tether my daughter's car seat to an anchor. The owner's manual only lists anchor positions in the trunk area, but i am looking for an anchor position on the floor of the second row of seats. I have the anchor piece. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I suspect that if they were there, the owner's manual would list them. Can you put the kid seat on the regular seat,
and strap it down with the seat belt? And run a strap over the back of the seat to the anchors in the cargo area?

The child seat is strapped down with the regular belt, but the manufacturer recommends using the tether, too. It's not necessary, but why not try to be as safe as possible? The only problem with running the tether into the cargo area is that the strap goes around both sides of the child seat, making it very difficult to get her in or out. I may not have any other choice, though.
