I have been looking over and over the forums for a while now. Finally I have had enough because nothing relates to the problem I am having with my Pathfinder. It's a 99 3.3 with 171,000 miles automatic.

Everytime I see p0171 of course that is lean on bank 1. It says MAF sensor or vac leak. Both are good on mine. I have had this code since I bought the car used. I haven't been able to fix it. I keep throwing parts on this thing and nothing is solving the issue.

I have replaced:Plugs and wiresDist cap and buttonPCV valveMAF sensor4 o2 sensorsFuel pumpFuel pressure regulatorIntake GasketFuel injectorsTons of Vac linesEgr valveEgr bptTested 3 times for vacuum leaks and there are noneFuel pressure tested goodThe car is sluggish on take off. When it gets about halfway through the shift it takes off like a rocket though. It ticks when I take off, hesitates and jerks when doing a steady speed, and now the tags are expired because I cannot pass the state tests. " I've seen at least 4 different mechanics and they are all just as stumped as I am. The last guy told me it was the connectors on the battery that were causing the problem. Took all I had not to swing on him after that genius $100 diagnostic. Anyone with any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just went out and got a cool scanner but am lost on what the data is telling me versus what normal conditions should read.

Make any sense?
