Maybe see if there is a fuse you can pull? Not sure if it will effect other systems though.

Thanks, will locate fuse. anti-lock brakes suck! You push the pedal down hard and it comes to a slow stop instead of locking up. Almost got me in an accident once. I live in Arizona, no snow, rarely rains, and even rarely gets ice on bridges, so i do not need the anti-lock feature

If they're working properly, you'll never experience the 'slow stop' scenario. There are occasionally scenarios of worse performance with ABS, but not in normal daily driving. Sounds like something is wrong, not an ABS issue.

If you stomp on the brake pedal, and it comes to a slow stop without the ABS kicking in, then you have another, more serious, problem.
I live in a snow belt, so I'm familiar with how ABS feels and sounds in slippery conditions.
On dry roads, my ABS seldom, if ever, kicks in when braking hard.
The truck still comes to a quick stop before the ABS activates.
Sounds like you have other issues.
