99 Nissan Sentra Headligh bulbs HELP!

I just recently bought some new headlight bulbs and to be honest they are garbage. I can barely see at night as it is and now that it is raining it makes it even harder to see. Also, after I installed the new headlight bulbs the high beam light stays on no matter what. When I switch to High Beams the lights seem to dim.

What headlight bulbs would you recommend for a 1999 Nissan Sentra? I was thinking of getting these http://www.amazon.com/GE-NIGHTHAWK-9004 ... roduct_top

but it says 1 to 2 months to ship..

First off, make sure the problem you're having with the high beams is related to the bulbs you bought. If you put the original ones back, do they work OK?

Also the GE bulbs can be bought at Walmart or most automotive stores.

Yes when I put the original ones the high beam signal goes away.\


edit: I returned the 9004 bulbs and bought some 9007's and what do you know, they worked! Kind of weird considering the manual and every website I looked at said to use 9004's.

Yeah strange, I looked it up too and they all say 9004. Maybe previous owner changed the headlights?

According to the Sylvania lamp guide, there were two differant headlamp bulbs used for the 1999 Sentra. Early models used #9004 and later models used the #9007.
