Well, i'll start by saying ive had this truck for 4 years. She Was bought off Showroom from Nissan by my Uncle, he put 100k Miles on her. in the 4 years ive had her, ive put about 90,000 on her. Original drivetrain. She was never Off-roaded before i bought her 4years ago.Rancho front/rear shocks with no Swaybars front/rear , stock rims sprayed black, with 31/10.5/16 BFG All Terrains rear bumper cover removed, Rear KC lights mounted 2inches below Rear Bumper hooked to Fogswitch (Foglights Removed) Used for tailgators/backing up. this was my daily driver
2nd day i had her i started my offroad craze. soon after all my friends joined in. We ended up going offroading 3-4 times a week for 2 years straight. i was going through brake lines/hoses/axels every month(Not a problem). When i got her she had no rot/no rust (EXCEPT for the step bars, common). after 2 years of doing that i stopped. But in that 2 year process of offroading i really shouldnt call it offroading it was more like Baja through the f***ing woods. excuse my french. my friends had gone through 2 maybe 3 trucks. Pathfinder was the only one to live.
But i made a mistake one day when i jumped her over a dirtbike jump, blew all my suspension, and my tire grabbed the weld for the strut tower and ripped it JUST a littlllle bit. because ive never had a problem with her before even with the abuse that i gave her Daily. Shifting the transmission like it was Tip-tronic or redline to redline shifting all day everyday as long as i wasnt broke from driving so much. which was rare.
Up until about 4months ago she was fine. not a problem every week i started noticing that little tear that happened 2 years ago GROW. by just a little bit every week. until about last month it just RIPPED completely off the bottom and halfway up the top on both sides. slicing all my brake lines in that side. so i did what i usually did when i blew brake lines, drove her with the E-brake. Eventually i fixed her, i was doing brake lines on her every other week atleast. just to keep her driving. ha i even made a trip to New jersey and back. and she was fine. come to think of it, she still is fine. Sitting in my driveway ready to rip the brake lines open again after hitting a nasty pothole or making a sharp left turn.
But ive decided to call it quits on her, she has no problem running/driving she just has an issue with stopping or NOT ripping brake lines in half.
But thats my story, She was and still is a wonderful truck in my eyes.I put her through hell and back and then did it all over again.
Some pictures below, il update with damage tomorow i guess =/
