Working on a 99 Maxima, only seatbelts we could get our hands on (trying to do this as cheaply as possible) does not have the long cylinders nor the electrical connection. The replacement set comes from a 95 maxima. All the other nuts and bolts fit perfectly.

When I get finished with this and try to reset the SRS light (with the door switch) will it come back on since neither seatbelt is electically connected to the circuit?

That's a good question. The electrical connections may simply be used to determine if the seatbelt is in use to determine if the seatbelt idiot light is to be on or off. If that's the case then you won't have a SES issue but you will constantly have the fasten seatbelt light on.
