99 maxima keyless entry

My car sat all winter , in the spring the batt. was dead , after charging and running the car the remote entry would not work , put new battery in remote, nothing ,tried reprogramming instructions I found ,still didnt work , so I bought a used remote with new battery ,still didnt work . Us there anyone with any ideas for me to try?
