99 le 3.3 no start p0340 code

Distributor or not to distributor. that is the question. 98k miles, drove Friday. no problems or issues ever. no hesitation, stumbles, or any sign of any failure. sat for the weekend, went to crank. no start. getting fuel. did the screwdriver and plug wire test = no spark, code p0340 coming up. no check engine lights on ever

Certainly could be. Have you looked inside for oil or a loose plate?

I have a '98 Pathfinder that i bought with 112k miles on it (116k now) and when I look at the distributor bolt and i can see it's been either taken out and or moved (tool marks) So my guess is someone replaced the distributor. So 98k maybe bad Distributor?

haven't looked inside, camshaft pos sensor as well as coil are built in so with the code and no spark, I'm running with it. cheap enough

distributor was good, no oil or loose plates, swapped out all internals, fired right up. 10 minutes
