Hey Guys,
I've got it down to the inner tie rod end showing - outer end is removed and dust boot is also removed. I can't seem to get the little lock-nut to let loose without really tearing it up. Though I have new ones, so I guess I shouldn't worry about that. I think I need a special tool to remove the inner tie rod ( part number 96558-0VGA at Harbor Freight). I'm guessing that I finish tearing up that lock-nut, use the tool to unscrew the old tie rod end and PRESTO! It's off. To install the new one, do I just slide the new lock nut on, then screw on the tie rod, then somehow snap the lock nut onto the tie rod end?
Your help is much appreciated.
